House & Dogsitting in Glendale

Had a nice few days in Glendale while housesitting for a friend. I’ve realized a trend developing of my watching older dogs – I wonder if this is my “that guy” fate?

With that aside, it was a very nice time over there – got lots of reading done, walked with the dogs (well, just Billie), and got over to Descanso Gardens for the first time – it was a really beautiful night to be among all the plants & flowers, and the free outdoor jazz didn’t hurt either!

And yes, another epiphany to be had. I’m sure it had nothing to do with my wanting to watch “Into the Wild” that night. And on the subject of that film – I was really intrigued by the story, but given my behavior outdoors, I just kept thinking, “does he have enough sunscreen?” :-)
