A bunch of awesome moments from this week!
(have some of your own? to be featured in a future edition of MOW! :)
From North Hollywood to Beverlywood to Beverly Hills—here we go!
Now THAT’S a world map! You never knew Greenland was that HUGE, right?? Turns out it’s not—because of how this map spreads the world out (as we get to the poles), some things are a bit skewed. Order your copy of this map here! (this version is 86″ x 118″)
Dinner from my host: salmon, rice florentine (spinach!), and a very colorful salad!
My host for part of the week: Andrew—he’s visited over 45 countries and has lived in 10! He currently does voice-over work in LA and is working on his own online travel project!
Yes, this is what a rooftop pool deck looks like at 3 am. (Tried to sleep here when I didn’t have a place to stay, but while it had been very warm in LA, the wind got a bit too cool…).
Very rare I’m out this early to catch the sunrise—the building with the neon sign is the El Capitan theatre on Hollywood Blvd.
At another host’s house, they had quite the haul from the Culver City farmer’s market: lettuce, apples, pomegranates, parsley, tomatoes, strawberries, bell peppers, squash and lots more!
And here’s where part of those goodies went: dinner! Two kinds of salmon (both from the farmer’s market): poached and grilled, a GIANT helping of salad, and some strawberries!
Hanging out with Harper and Jamie in the morning—he’s got to be the youngest person I know who can operate a Vita-mix. This kid loves his smoothies! And he’s standing on The Learning Tower—such a cool item that helps kids get a better view! :)
My buddy Arye and I “in the future”—ok, it was just a parking garage in Beverly Hills, but Arye was able to plug in his electric car and didn’t have his Chargepoint card on him, so he called the company, gave the details of where we were, and they turned it on! I found the whole thing fascinating (btw: cool car!!) and the irony that Arye was in Minority Report wasn’t lost on me… it’s all happening! :)
Another awesome breakfast creation—this time: banana, apple, walnuts, soaked chia seeds (and the bit of water), pumpkin seeds, ginger, and cinnamon!
See ya next week from somewhere else in the world!
