As I mentioned earlier this month, I’m sharing a conversation with author, teacher, friend (and fellow New Englander!) Dave Ursillo as part of his meaningful conversations project.
In Dave’s own words…
“Conversations in Purpose is an exploration of discovering what matters most through conversation. What ensued was something magical. Dozens of conversations spanned a broad spectrum of topics on living meaningful lives, encountering fear, the meaning of love, elements of creative living and how to become a better writer, and more. By the project’s conclusion, Dave and his friends realized that honest, open, authentic conversation can truly open us up to new worlds of understanding about what we want, need and desire.”
Dave wants to challenge you to have conversations with both familiar and new people, both online and offline. The point is to experience sharing a meaningful conversation with others, and to break through the initial barrier of hesitation when talking with someone.
There wasn’t much prep to all this (which was fun), and I roughly chose the topic of The Mental Adventure of Travel—something that’s been on my mind recently (and also the subject of my Global Life Summit interview).
Enjoy!
(If you’re reading in email, click through to hear the interview. And if you’re not seeing any buttons on the player, just click to the far left to play/pause, and to the far right to adjust volume—seems to be a browser issue.)
