How NOT to Eat an Entire Muffuletta By Yourself!

or, Man vs. Food: The Healthy Way!

Nathan and the Muffuletta Madness

Ah, New Orleans….

Land of indulgent, decadent, and crazy foods.

Just to name a few, there’s the Po’ Boy, Banana Fosters Bread Pudding, and yes—the Muffuletta.

What’s a Muffuletta, you ask?

Two enormous slices of bread packed with olive salad, capicola, salami, pepperoni, ham, swiss cheese, and provolone.

On its own, or in a small sandwich, of course none of these items are going to do you any direct harm, but…

what do you do when faced with a GIANT sandwich the size of your head?

How much do you eat? How much do you need?!

When I was in “The Big Easy” recently, I decided to conduct a little social/food experiment: could I share a giant Muffuletta with a bunch of strangers?

Let’s find out…

If you enjoyed this video, I’ve entered a contest to help create more items like this in a Healthy Food & Travel Show!

At the time of this posting, we’re #11 (out of 121 ideas!) and voting ends on Thursday, September 6th at 12:00 pm PDT!

It’s not really about whether I win or lose, ’cause I’m doing this show either way!

It’s more about getting the word out there and sharing this, to find the people who want this show to happen and those who can make it happen!

If this project can place in the Top 10—or the Top 5—that’d be amazing!!

Thanks in advance for voting, and sharing this any way you can (Facebook, Twitter, Email)!

How do you deal with indulgent and crazy foods when you travel?

I’d love to hear your response + any other thoughts you have below.

And I’ll be at the Wide Sky Days Conference in San Diego this weekend, presenting two talks: on Traveling for Little-to-No Money, and How to be Healthy on the Road. Super excited to connect with everyone there!!

Looking forward to learning more!
Nathan
